Mini Paper Rose

Hello, as a woman who likes flowers, I must confess that when I saw the giant paper flowers I was fascinated, and said: “I have to make them”, but I quickly became curious to make them in different sizes so that I could use them to decorate not only walls, but also anything I could think of to give it a delicate touch. Taking into account that the roses seem to me as well as delicate, beautiful, this time I want to share with you my DIY Mini Paper Rose, with which you can make roses of 3 ¼ “approximately, and I can assure you that they will give a delicate touch to any space where you place them.

To start:

“If you do not have Silhouette Cameo, print the .pdf file and cut the pieces that have 4 petals, and the smallest petal.”

Once you have the pieces cut, take those that have 4 petals and the smallest petal, you should have:

  • 1 small petal
  • 2 pieces of 4 petals size A
  • 3 pieces of 4 petals size B
  • 2 pieces of 4 petals size C
  • 1 piece of 4 petals size D

Take the small petal and fold its edges, this will be the center of the rose

Then take a piece of 4 petals size A and fold its edges a little inwards

Glue the piece of a petal in the center of the 4 petals. Put some glue on each side of the petals and glue them to the center piece as the photos show

Take the other size A piece, put glue on each side of the petals and glue them to the center of the rose beginning with the union of the petals

Then, glue the petal on the front and finally the remaining two, you must have the center of your mini paper rose ready

Now you can use it to give a delicate touch to what you want, your imagination is the limit.

I used some to decorate gifts, instead of a bow, I used the mini paper rose and see how delicate and original they were

I often visit your page and have noticed that you don’t update it
often. More frequent updates will give your page higher authority & rank
in google. I know that writing articles takes a lot
of time, but you can always help yourself with miftolo’s tools which
will shorten the time of creating an article to a couple of seconds.

Hi! Thank you so much for providing the free template and clear directions! I’m making a corsage for my nephew’s prom this weekend. I am really struggling with my hot glue gun making such a mess all over the petals. Do you have any advice on how to correct this problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi Ally! Try pressing the tip of the hot silicon gun against the material before lifting it.

Hello, lovely article and how to. Very well written, I am curious though at the choice of words. Why are these being called “mini” roses when they look like a standard size rose? I’ve been trying to find how to make mini ones but every tutorial all make standard size roses yet call them mini. As I said, lovely tutorial but it is too big for the project I need, which is basically dime size or smaller.

Hello Taylor!, thanks for appreciating my work, your words motivate me to continue creating crafts for you. With respect to the word “mini”, when I was looking for paper flowers I always got “giants” or “big ones” that is why I called it mini to differentiate it from the others, but I had not noticed what you said, and you are right. I will try to create a paper rose of the size you mention, if I succeed I post the tutorial.

PD: When I read “Very well written”, I feel so happy, because it is hard for me to write in English, but I make my best and try to make it better each day. Thank you!!!

What are the circles in the templates for? I don’t see it mentioned

I use the circles as the base of the flower, I glue them on the back to give stability to the rose. Thanks for asking.

Hi Melanie! thanks for asking! In my Etsy Shop LivingAndCrafting, I should be listing the paper flower templates as DIY kits. In the post, there are the free files, but if you want the pieces to make them, I’ll wait for you next week in my Etsy store.
