Hi everyone! For me, the most beautiful time of the year is almost here, Christmas, because it brings out the best part of each one of us; for these days there is joy, hope, love, compassion, faith, among other beautiful feelings. For me Christmas is very important because I celebrate Jesus’s birth that fills me with hope, it reminds me that every day is an opportunity to be a better human being. So, for the reason that everyone is motivated, I know that we all like to decorate our home or the places where we share time with the people we love, with a Christmas theme, so in this post, I show you how to make an easy and quick Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament.
Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament
To be honest, for me Christmas is red, white, green and gold, but it is also true that you have to be flexible and occasionally open the door to changes, so this year a very good (like a sister) friend told me: “look how beautiful are the decorations in buffalo check for Christmas”, and when I saw the white and black (colors that I have loved all my life), I thought why not try this year and decorate my Christmas tree with those colors and here I am sharing with you the first Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament that I made this year.
Supplies you need to make this Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament:
- Buffalo Check fabric.
- Christmas Tree Ornament (I bought mine at Dollar Tree).
- Twine (I used jute twine).
- Scissors.
- Measuring tape or ruler.
- Ribbon (matching color).
How to make this Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament
The first thing you should make is cut a square of fabric that completely covers the Christmas Tree Ornament that you are going to cover, in my case I used 2 Christmas Tree Ornament sizes:
- One of 2.1” approx., for this I cut a square of 8.2”.
- And another one of 4.7” approx., for this I cut a square of 15”.
I take the small one to make this step by step.
Now take two opposite ends of the fabric and raise them lining the Christmas Tree Ornament as shown in the photo.
Take the remaining edges and sides of the fabric and completely wrap the Christmas Tree Ornament.
When you have the Christmas Tree Ornament completely wrapped, take a piece of twine and secure the fabric on top of the Christmas Tree Ornament, as shown in the photo.
Take a small piece of ribbon and place it around the twine with which you secured the fabric.
Now take the ribbon and make a bow to decorate the Christmas Tree Ornament, (in this link How to Tie a Perfect Bow by Debbie Colgrove, you can find an easy way to make a bow) and glue it on top of your Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament.
You already have your Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament ready!
I made the big one too, here I show you both so you can see the sizes of my Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament and the fabrics I used.
How can you vary your Buffalo Check Christmas Tree Ornament?
- Put jingle bells in the bow.
- Add pine twigs in the decoration.
- Use different types of Buffalo Check fabric.
- Put a small label with a word of this time of the year.
